Horrible default font size on Mac Mail

21 Apr

One thing I really don’t understand why the hack the default Mail font size so tiny. It is like font size 6. After months of using it, I couldn’t take any more because more and more my colleague email coming without right font so Mail switch using default size. After long search, I finally found the solution.

  1. Close Mail if it’s running
  2. Open Terminal
  3. Then type following command:
    defaults write com.apple.mail MinimumHTMLFontSize 13
  4. Start Mail program

That’s it! Problem solved.

Beginner Cheat Sheet on Mac OS X

11 Aug

This more like Cheat Sheet for Windows Users

  1. Screen capture
    Command-Shift-3 : full screen shot
Command-Shift-4 : select area for screen shot
Every screen shot will create a image file on desktop.
Control-Command-Shift-3 (or 4) : copies the capture into your Clipboard then you can paste on Mail, word, etc
  2. Install App: Normally you just drag the app into Finder. That it.
  3. Uninstall App: Drop the app to Trash.

This is live Cheat Sheet. I will update as often as I can whenever I found something interesting to note.
